Few years ago, I was a full time social worker. Today, I'm the founder of Messy Outdoor.

When I first started this little business, my personal slogan was "用創業體驗生活 Experience life through entrepreneurship." I wanted to see where running a business could take me, the people I'd meet, and the opportunities I'd never have found if I'd stayed in my comfort zone.

Somewhere along the way, I realised that idea isn't really about entrepreneurship.

It's about having the courage to try something different.

You don't have to quit your job or start a business to experience the world. Sometimes it's saying yes to your first hike. Booking that solo trip. Learning a new skill. Talking to strangers. Taking a chance on an idea that won't leave your head.

Who knows where it'll lead?

Messy Outdoor has never been just an outdoor shop. It's more like a community for curious people who enjoy adventures, good coffee, random ideas, and stepping outside their comfort zone.

We've been lucky enough to collaborate with amazing independent brands across Asia, including ORUMM (climbing wear) and Corner Trip (handmade ultralight backpacks) from Korea, as well as tamilab and River Drink from Japan.

We've also organised exhibitions, worked with talented artists like Taiwan's ikuikustudio, and created our own products—from T-shirts to coffee cups.

We're still exploring. Still learning. Still saying "Why not?"
